In brief what I expect of you, the parents
Please take an interest in our program and talk with your child about the day's activities.
Due to licensing regulations, all parents will be required to sign in and out daily.
Children are to be here no later than 9am every morning. If a child does not arrive as scheduled, you may receive a phone call/text so that I may check on the well-being of your child’s absence for that day.
Notices of new policies will be noted in your monthly newsletter of any changes.
Leave one set of complete clothing here in their cubby for occasional accidents. Place the items in a large ziploc bag with their name on it for easy access in case of accidents.
No toys are to be brought to child care; I must make sure toys are developmentally appropriate for all ages.
Please do not bring food/drink in for your child, this disrupts our schedule and is not fair to the other children.
Keep shot records current, with a new updated copy each time the child receives a new immunization or a religious exemption will be submitted for acceptance.
Medicine to be dispensed must be given by the parent only. We do not dispense medicine here at this facility. If the child needs a dosage during daycare hours, you may come and give it to your child. I will only allow emergency inhalers or epi pens left here with written permission/instructions.
If your child has thrown up, had diarrhea, ran a fever, etc. overnight, please do not bring them to childcare the next day. This sets up a vicious cycle of passing germs back and forth between the children. They MUST be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to childcare. Please note that your child will be separated from the group on a cot for a rest time period until parent/guardians have arrived to pick up your children. In the event of flu diagnosis the 24 hr period will be extended to 7 days absence before returning.
All children are to be picked up no later than 515pm. A late pickup fee of $1 per min. begins at 516pm and is enforced.
Your weekly rate is the same 52 weeks per year. Once a check is given to the daycare there are no discounts, refunds or credits given for any reason whatsoever.
FEES: Your fees are based on enrollment, not attendance, and no credit is provided for absences due to illness or any other reasons. This includes and is not limited to occassional provider personal days, sick days, bereavement, vacation, Choctaw nation assistance or emergency closings.
Please be prompt with your child care payment so we may promptly meet our household obligations. Receipts will be given out at the end of each year.
If a check is ever returned, I will notify you and ask for you to pick up the check and pay all service charges incurred through my bank and a $35 returned check fee.
Paid Holidays: Any Holidays falling on a weekend, Friday will be observed.
New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day/Good Friday/Independence Day/Thanksgiving Eve/ Thanksgiving Day and Friday Following/Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
Due to pea gravel getting all in their shoes, no sandals plz. Close toed shoes only. No cowboy boots.
I expect 2 weeks written notice to be given upon leaving this facility, otherwise the 1 week enrollment fee will be forfeited due to early departure.
Due to the huge liability on transporting young children, I do not transport children, except in case of an emergency and no other means are available.
If a situation arises due to a custody dispute, you will be required to make custody papers available to me so that I have a copy on file.
What you can expect of me, your child's caregiver

As a participant in the USDA Little Dixie Food Program, my daycare home will supply each child with meals and snacks that meet food program guidelines.
Breakfast, Lunch and PM snack are the meals served at daycare.
Non-smoking environment.
Lots of tender loving care.
A 2 week trial basis will be given to see how the child/children adjust to our setting and the other children in care. If I feel that the situation is not working out, you may be asked to find other means of childcare.
Large fenced yard with lots of area to play. All children play outside daily, weather permitting.
Opportunities to learn through play with other children with the security of belonging to a small home group.
Our curriculum consists of a monthly newsletter, Christian Abeka Nursery/Preschool Curriculum along with monthly themes & activities, Frog Street teaching books, letters, colors, numbers, shapes, Spanish words, sign language words & weekly show and tell.
Parents/Guardians are welcome to come by unannounced anytime their child is here.
You must have an alternate caregiver/backup for your children, when I am ill.
We are on a daily routine schedule for toilet training. We go at the allotted times on the daily schedule. If you feel your child is ready, send them in pullups and easy up/down clothing. It makes for an easier transition when we are both on the same page.
Birthdays: They may wear the birthday crown, be King/Queen for the day. I serve a special snack, drink and a book gift. We sing happy birthday/read the book and have a birthday dance.
Periodically during daycare activities I will be photographing your child. These pictures may be used for art projects, newsletters, face book, newspaper, or my childcare web site. If you have a discrepancy with this, let me know and your wishes will be respected, no questions asked. For permission, sign here: ________________________.
Nap-times are built into our program between 12:30--230pm. Cots, playpens, and sheets are provided. All children lay down/rest. You must supply a small blanket to be left here. I launder sheets/blankets weekly or on an as needed basis.
Our vaccinated indoor family pet Katie, our yorkie live in the premises.
Verbal communication is provided daily. You may text me anytime.
Parent Conferences are scheduled each January/June. I prepare & share individual developmental charts twice a year on each child.
This is a Christian Family Childcare. We pray before meals & read a daily Bible story.
Monthly Fire/Tornado/Smoke Alarm/Carbon Monoxide Detector/Earthquake Drills are practiced the first Tuesday of each month. Evacuation/Lock-down/Relocation Drills are practiced every January. The disaster procedure manual is hanging on the bulletin board in the daycare room and is given out with your enrollment packet. Please keep in a safe place.
Parent Referrals: You will receive a credit toward childcare and/or co-payment for referrals that enroll. The credit will be applied after newly enrolled children have attended 2 weeks.
Should a slight injury occur that we are aware of, the provider or substitute will administer first-aid. You will be provided with an injury/ouchie report. In the event of a serious injury, 911 will be called and parents will be notified immediately.
Any form of child abuse/neglect or human trafficking will be reported to the Dept. of Human Services.
Positive reinforcement and encouragement in all that your child does or attempts to do.
A Notice to Parents is located near the daycare door and in your enrollment packet. This note is for non-compliance/investigations found at my facility at the time of a Licensing visit from OKDHS. The compliance file is located hanging near the sign in area. You’re welcome and encouraged to look through it anytime you wish.
I take 2 weeks paid vacation yearly. My paid weeks of vacation will always be during the Christmas Holidays and the last week of May. If changes need to be made, I will notify you in a timely manner.
I use redirection for discipline. This involves getting down on the child’s level eye to eye, talking to him/her about the situation in a kind/positive manner, re-directing his/her attention away from that particular situation and getting him/her involved in another activity. The “Thinking chair” is used as a last resort.
Substitutes: I will notify you if someone other than Krystal Middleton (my daughter/mother of 2 boys in her 20’s), my husband Allen Fines or I will be caring for your children. I will only release your child to the parents and the individuals listed on your child’s enrollment form. This is strictly for your child’s safety.
TOILET TRAINING POLICY
When you feel that your child is ready for toilet training, I ask that you begin this teaching at home by encouraging your child to use their words to tell you they need to go potty. I will follow through and encourage your child while in my care with pull-ups only. Please keep in mind that the activity level here can distract your child from responding to an urge to use the potty more so than at your home. Therefore, I ask that you do not bring your child in underwear until your child can announce that he/she must use the bathroom and is accident free at the daycare for at least 2 weeks. When your child reaches this point, underwear can be used during daycare. Your child should be able to pull his/her own pants up and down when going potty. Pants with elastic waist or shorts are best during this time. NO overalls, onesies, belts, tights or long dresses. Your child should have the verbal skills necessary to tell me that they need to go potty. I do not launder soiled clothing. I will send it home in a WM bag, hanging outside on the fence for pickup.
During toilet training parents will need to supply:
*diapers or pull ups for naptime until the child is fully trained. Unless there is an allergy, Pull-ups need be the brand that has velcro on the sides. This makes for easier changes and not having to take the child’s shoes and pants off for changing pull ups each time. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me on messenger, text, talk to me or call anytime.

I, Tammy Fines reserve my right to expel students at any time for any reason. Some of these reasons may include, but are not limited to:
